4 Crawling Vases is an expression of pushing boundaries and overcoming obstacles. The totemic vases were created by making matching pieces that sit within each other to achieve a scale not possible using ordinary equipment. When you enter a room the vessels stand alone, drawing attention through their scale, while becoming an integral part of the space and a site for discussion, contemplation and relaxation. The installation is comprised of 3 Crawling Vases however, it is titled 4 Crawling Vases. This allows the shoes of the fourth Crawling Vase to be filled by the viewer. The work is only complete when it is confronted and experienced.
