Opening Reception: Winter 2024 Exhibitions
A program of:
Pizandawatc / The One Who Listens / Celui qui écoute and Sediment: The Archive as a Fragmentary Base
Wednesday, January 17, 2024
6pm–8pm
Celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions at the Art Museum!
Join us at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery at 6:30pm for the opening remarks for Sediment: The Archive as a Fragmentary Base, an exhibition that re-imagines the archive as material fragments that may narrate presences, proximities, and solidarities.
At 7pm, we will gather at the University of Toronto Art Centre for the opening remarks for Pizandawatc / The One Who Listens / Celui qui écoute, a survey of Caroline Monnet’s prolific production, centering around a new series of sculptures exploring the deep relationship between land, language, and intergenerational transmission of knowledge.
This event is free and open to the public. No registration required.
