The University of Toronto Shelley Peterson Student Art Exhibition is an annual exhibition celebrating the diverse artistic excellence of undergraduate students enrolled in visual studies programs across University of Toronto’s three campuses. The exhibition offers a meeting place for students to exchange ideas through their diverse artistic practice.
The seventeen artworks included in the 2024 Shelley Peterson Student Art Exhibition are disparate in media and approach, employing fragmentation and partial perspective as generative modes of artistic creation. Amongst the artists, Olive Wei, Joanna Konopka, and Victoria Lee were selected for awards by Theresa Wang, Director and Curator at Mercer Union.
The exhibition is curated by Kate Whiteway with support from project mentor Dr. Liora Belford.
