Join us in celebrating the public opening of the Art Museum’s Winter 2026 exhibitions! Opening remarks will be at 7pm in the University of Toronto Art Centre.

Land. Sea. Sugar. Salt. brings together artists of Caribbean descent whose work explores the complexity of the region’s histories of colonialism, African diaspora, Indigeneity, and ongoing struggles for sovereignty and environmental justice.

PARTING/فراق  brings together recent works and related sketches by Hangama Amiri in her first major solo exhibition in Toronto. Working predominantly in textiles, Amiri combines diversely sourced fabrics into large-scale compositions that evoke memories of home and migration, as well as the daily lives of women both in Afghanistan and the diaspora, often from a feminist perspective

The reception is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
